This Empowering Memorial Honors the Legacies of Military Women

The Women In Military Service For America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery is the only major national memorial honoring U.S. servicewomen. It tells the rich history of women in the military, and holds a registry where servicewomen can leave their legacies. When earmarks stopped in 2010, the memorial foundation lost its funding from Congress, and ran into debt as a result. Today the foundation is fighting to sustain the memorial so it can keep these stories alive and continue to empower future generations of military women.
